The Canadian International Auto Show is back with a triumphant return after a two-year hiatus. To welcome the event, Toyota invited loyal fans and media people to the historic Steamwhistle Roundhouse, where the company revealed the new 2024 Grand Highlander.
There’s more to the brand new Grand Highlander than a simple stretch to the wheelbase. The car is a larger and more luxurious version of the popular Highlander, with enhanced comfort and features for the modern Canadian families.
On the outside, Toyota gives this SUV a sleek design that reflects its premium status. LED headlights and chrome accents are placed nicely on the front side and 20-inch alloy wheels are installed to enhance the luxurious look.
There are several interior and technology upgrades as well. Drivers can now use their smartphone as a key and passengers get increased roominess. On the back side, there is an improved power liftgate system for easy trunk access.
Besides the new premium look and enhanced features, Toyota also made improvements on the engine and drivetrain. The turbocharged 2.4 litre engine borrowed from the standard Highlander is coupled with the Hybrid Max drivetrain, allowing the car to produce 362 horsepower that makes it the most powerful among its competitors.
